Box Score

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - #2 Lebanon Valley scored 31 seconds into the game and never looked back, topping Elizabethtown 4-2 to clinch the Commonwealth Conference playoff's second seed.

The Dutchmen (16-1, 5-1 CC) will host Elizabethtown (12-4, 5-2 CC) in one of the semifinals next Wednesday at a time to be announced; top-seeded Messiah will host Alvernia or Widener in the other. LVC has yet to play Widener on Friday, but the game will not impact LVC's seeding.

LVC took a quick lead as Allison Bicher scored on a two-man break with Caitlin Vasey just 31 seconds into the game, to take a quick lead, and Jocelyn Novak doubled the lead at 13:55 with her national-best 34th goal of the year.

E-town did well to limit the damage, holding LVC to just three first-half shots, and they struck on Linsey Fasold's goal from Julie Foster's penalty corner at 28:21 to go into the half down 2-1.

LVC turned it around in the second, ripping off 12 shots, and they increased the lead when Cait Eckenrode buried a rebound 1:36 into the half. Bicher added her second at 48:00 for her 18th of the year, building an insurmountable 4-1 lead. Liz DeMatteis added a late consolation goal for the Blue Jays.

Lebanon Valley led 15-12 on shots, but trained 12-8 on corners. Christine Poletti made six saves; Lindy Hamp stopped four.

The Dutchmen visit Widener on Friday for the regular-season finale.
