Andrea Hoover led #23/24 Lebanon Valley for the third-straight game, posting 13 points in a 66-43 victory over Arcadia for the Dutchmen's tenth-straight win. LVC used a balanced attack and maintained a lead for the entire game.
The Dutchmen are 18-1 on the season and remain perfect in Commonwealth Conference play with an 8-0 record. Hoover added five rebounds and four assists in 24 minutes.
Freshman
Renee Fritz, making her first start since returning from injury, hit double digit scoring for LVC with 10 points, a career-high, along with two assists and three steals in 14 minutes of action. Freshmen
Amanda Donia and
Tierney Hiltz notched nine points each for the Dutchmen and classmate
Lindsey Nies recorded a team-high five assists.
Lebanon Valley opened the game with a layup from Donia, followed by a three-pointer to take an early lead. The Dutchmen continued to roll, holding a 24-point advantage over Arcadia going into intermission.
The Dutchmen kept the momentum going, posting a game-high 39 point lead at 7:17 in the second half. Arcadia attempted a comeback in the end, holding LVC without a point for the final five minutes, but the deficit was too large to overcome.
LVC posted 28 points off turnovers, 32 tallies in the paint and used 28 bench points to record the win. All 13 players made appearances in the game for the Dutchmen, and 11 of the 13 recorded two points or more.
The Dutchmen return to action on Wednesday when they host Lycoming at 6 p.m.
