ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.
- Lebanon Valley failed to hold on to a late lead as Elizabethtown rallied late to take the game into overtime and win, 74-66, in Commonwealth Conference men's basketball action Wedneday.

The Dutchmen (6-7, 2-2 CC) played their first overtime game since 2007-08 when they went to two with Lycoming, but the Blue Jays carried all the momentum as they struck quickly in the extra frame after tying it at the end of regulation with Joe Flanagan's foul shots.

It was the second straight come-from-behind loss for the Dutchmen after a last-gasp effort by Alvernia on Saturday. Flanagan (18 points) and Mike Church (22 points, 12 rebounds) led the E-town effort; Dan Dunkelberger led LVC with 17 points and eight boards. Sean MacIntosh had 14 points, including four three-pointers. Joe Meehan dished eight assists to go with nine points.

A tight first half gave way to some breathing room for LVC in the second as the Dutchmen extended their lead to double digits after Meehan hit a layup with 9:34 left.

E-town rallied and cut the lead to a point after Keith Fogel hit a short jumper with 4:27 left, but LVC balanced it with Grant Becker's fastbreak bucket two minutes later. After Bryan Harrity made one of two foul shots to make it a 62-60 ball game, both sides missed chances before E-town was caught in a bind in the final minute.

Church tried a short-range shot with 32 seconds left, but Anthony Trautman flew in for the block, giving E-town the ball on the baseline with three on the shot clock. However, Trautman committed a foul away from the ball on the inbound, and Flanagan made both shots to tie the game at 62 with 32 seconds left.

LVC held for last shot, but after E-town gave their final foul, Meehan's jumper missed and the game went to OT.

E-town immediately capitalized with Flanagan's circus shot lay-in, and after Dunkelberger tied it with two foul shots, a 5-0 E-town run on Flanagan's three and a Church layup all but sealed the win as the Blue Jays chewed up clock and made their foul shots.

LVC returns home Saturday to face Widener.
