Women's Basketball

PinkZone Is Coming!

Mark your calendars - LVC will hold its second annual WBCA PinkZone game (formerly known as Think Pink) on Feb. 11, 2009, with the women's basketball team taking on Arcadia University at 6 p.m.

Last year's game raised more than $3,000 for the American Cancer Society of Lebanon thanks to fan donations and dozens of local sponsors. LVC fans set an attendance record for a women's basketball game with 1,310 pink-clad supporters packing the gym. This year, we're aiming for a sellout - 1,650 fans!

This year's game will have all the games, prizes, and fun of last year's game, plus LVC's players will be wearing pink uniforms to be auctioned after the game, with all proceeds benefiting the ACS of Lebanon.

And start practicing your half-court shots, because one lucky fan will have the chance to make a half-court shot to win a brand new 2009 Chevy Cobalt courtesy of Frederick's Chevrolet, the Supermarket of Cars!

The WBCA began the WBCA Pink Zone, formerly known as "Think Pink," in 2007 as an initiative to raise breast cancer awareness in women's basketball, on campuses and in communities. In 2007, more than 120 schools unified for this effort and helped make the inaugural year a success. In 2008, over 1,200 teams and organizations participated, reaching over 830,000 fans and raising over $930,000 for breast cancer awareness and research.

Please join us for a worthy cause on Feb. 11 for fun, prizes, some great basketball, and plenty of surprises!
