ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Lebanon Valley College swimming teams split their meet with Cabrini College Saturday, with the men winning 124-78 and the women falling 109-94.
Four Dutchmen turned in MAC-qualifying times. For the men, Patrick Barry qualified for the 1,650-free and Ryan Humphries in the 100 fly, while on the women's side, Alex Hockley was under the mark in the 100 back and Ashten O'Brien made it in the 100 breaststroke.
LVC had multiple winners on the day. Humphreys won the 800 free in 10:26.81, and also captured the 100 fly in 1:09.29. Kevin Carney won three events, including the 200 free (2:05.22), 100 back (1:07.62), and 400 free (4:41.23). Tony Shipkowski was fastest in the 200 IM in 2:35.25.
For the women's team, Ally Birli touched the wall first in the 100 fly, finishing five seconds clear of the field in 1:12.27. Lauren Horst won the 100 free in 1:06.79, and Hockey's time in the 100 back won that event.
LVC visits Drew University next Saturday at 1 p.m.
