W. Soccer Edges Arcadia, 1-0

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College got a second-half goal from Christine Fraser and then held on to defeat Arcadia University, 1-0, in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer play on Saturday.

The Dutchmen (8-3-2, 2-0-0 CC) are undefeated over their last seven contests with a 5-0-2 record. Arcadia (6-5-2, 0-1-1 CC) remained searching for a win in conference play.

Alyson Reitmeyer made five saves to earn her second straight shutout as Arcadia peppered LVC with 16 shots.

After a scoreless first half, LVC went on top in the 67th minute as Fraser capitalized on a misplayed ball and converted Sara Drabenstadt's pass.

The Dutchmen then sat the lead despite 10 second-half shots by the Knights.

Arcadia held a 16-10 shots lead and LVC led 3-0 in corners. Jacquelyn Eckert made four stops for Arcadia in the loss.

LVC returns home Tuesday to face #4 Messiah College in a huge Commonwealth Conference match.
