ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College lost a pair of tight meets with Elizabethtown College Tuesday, as the men's swimming team was edged, 103-100, and the women fell 102-89.

The men's meet came right down to the final race, the 200-yard freestyle relay. LVC's team of Johnny Shoenberger, Jared Wilkerson, Greg Kauffman, and Jeffrey Bush won the event in 1:38.45 to earn the 11 points, but E-town's 'A' relay edged LVC's 'B' relay for second place, taking four points and giving the Blue Jays the edge.

There were plenty of winners on both sides for LVC, with Kevin Carney capturing three events for the men with the 1000 free (10:55.71), 500 free (5:13.12), and 200 IM (2:12.01).

For the women, freshman Ally Birli captured the 200 free in 2:08.42 while also taking the 100 fly in 1:05.86. Lisa Niethamer won the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.59, and Lauren Horst was first in the 500 free in 6:03.01. The 200 free relay of Ashten O'Brien, Niethamer, Horst and Birli won in 1:50.26.

LVC returns home Dec. 1 to host Millersville University at 1 p.m.
