Freshman Andrew Cooper, the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week, scored both of Lebanon Valley's goals last week, playing a key role in LVC keeping pace in the Commonwealth Conference playoffs. Against Elizabethtown last Wednesday, Cooper tied the game in the final minutes with a deft header. He redirected a George Andriko cross in the 88th minute to send the match into overtime. In the extra period, he almost won the game for the Dutchmen, but his shot deflected off the keeper's hand and then off the post.
On Saturday at Widener, Cooper struck early for the only goal of the game. Again using his head, Cooper stepped up to a Jordan Auman entry pass and netted his third goal of the season as LVC defeated the Pride, 1-0.
