INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Lebanon Valley track and field program will be sending two student-athletes to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships as graduate student

Anna Sawicki were officially announced as qualifiers on Friday evening in a release by the NCAA.
De Falcis qualified in the javelin while Sawicki was a qualifier in the heptathlon. The three-day championship meet will begin on Thursday, May 21, at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The heptathlon will be contested on Thursday and Friday, while the javelin is scheduled for Saturday. Thursday's heptathlon events will consist of the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot put, and 200 meters. Friday's events will be the long jump, javelin, and 800 meters.
De Falcis is making his third appearance at the National Championships in the javelin after throwing a program record mark of 66.15 meters (217'0") to win his third Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) title at the conference championships earlier this month. His throw is sixth in the nation, putting him in the second flight next Saturday. The graduate student finished 20th in the javelin at the 2023 Championships and earned Second Team All-America honors last year with an 11th-place finish.
Sawicki makes her first outdoor National Championship appearance after recording a school record of 4740 points to win the title at the AARTFC Championships this week. Prior to that, she had a Middle Atlantic Conference Championship record of 3636 points to win her second consecutive MAC title in the event. Her point total is ranked 17th in the nation. The sophomore earned All-America honors in the Pentathlon at the Indoor Championships with a sixth-place finish. Sawicki has recorded career-best marks in five of the seven events this season. She had a career-best long jump of 5.29 meters (17'4.25") and a career-best shot put of 12. 04 meters (39'6") at the AARTFC Championships. She ran a career-best 200 meters at 26.16 seconds at the MAC Championships. Sawicki recorded a career-best javelin throw of 36.79 meters (120'8") and a career-best 100-meter hurdles of 15.61 seconds at the York Twilight Meet. She is coming off her season-best 800-meter time of 2:27.41 at the AARTFC Championships and has cleared 1.55 meters (5'1) all three times she has competed in the event this spring.
