ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team is ready to begin its quest toward a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Championship in 2026. The Flying Dutchmen are scheduled to compete in 17 games this spring, including nine home contests at Arnold Field.
Lebanon Valley is coming off a strong 2025 season in which it went 13-6 overall and 6-1 against conference opponents. The Dutchmen also earned their second consecutive trip to the MAC Freedom Championship final. Entering this year, LVC is ranked second out of eight teams with 42 points in the 2026 MAC Freedom Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Preseason Poll.
"We have high standards and expectations," Head Coach
Rachel Perla said. "It's a good group on and off the field. I think we have a lot of potential, so we're excited to get out there and see what we can do."
Lebanon Valley's roster includes 17 returners from last year's team and nine first-year players. The list of returnees is led by
Gigi Ditsky, a senior goalkeeper and the 2025 MAC Freedom Goalie of the Year, as well as
Chloe Moser, a sophomore defender and the 2025 MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year. Moser was also named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Metro Region Team. Additionally, sophomore defender
Annelise Vetter and junior attacker
Elizabeth Morgan are coming back after receiving All-Conference honors last spring.
The Dutchmen return their entire defensive unit, which contributed to the program posting the third-best goals against average in the conference. Ditsky will look to build on a campaign in which she helped lead LVC to 13 wins with 144 saves, a 10.19 goals against average, and a .425 save percentage. Moser finished fifth in the MAC Freedom with 34 caused turnovers and ninth with 50 ground balls last season. The defender also ranked second in the conference and 12th in the nation with a single-season program record of 133 draw controls. Vetter will work to continue her success as well, following a year in which she was eighth in the conference with 1.47 turnovers per game and ranked 10th with 25 caused turnovers, while finishing third on the team with 36 ground balls. Additionally, LVC will rely on junior defender
Katie Giusti and senior defenders
Grace Marchese and
Allison Keeney to make an impact.
Offensively, Morgan is prepared for another big season after ranking third on the team with 45 goals and fourth with 63 points, while also recording 18 assists in 2025. Senior attacker
Bethany Cohee is coming back as well, following a campaign where she was second in the MAC Freedom and ninth in the nation with 62 assists. Additionally, Cohee ranked seventh in the conference with 78 points, as she added 16 goals. The Dutchmen will also look to senior attacker
Molly Whisler, who was tied for third on the squad with 20 assists while ranking fourth with 40 goals and fifth with 60 points. Lebanon Valley returns senior attacker
Kyla Hebert as well, who registered 26 points with 22 goals and four assists as a junior. Perla expressed that she believes the offense is as balanced as it has been during her time at the helm. The Head Coach also said she is eager to see what the program's first-year class brings to the table and looks forward to having more depth on both ends of the field.
Lebanon Valley is scheduled to begin the 2026 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 14, at noon, when the program will travel to take on Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. LVC's home opener is slated for Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m., against Eastern Mennonite University at Arnold Field.
