NEWTOWN, Pa. – Junior goaltender
Mia Frisoni was honored for her performance in the Lebanon Valley College women's ice hockey team's overtime victory at Stevenson University, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced that she was named the MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week, in a release on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
Frisoni made 25 saves for the Dutchmen in a 2-1 overtime win at Stevenson on Saturday, Feb. 14. The goaltender stopped 23 consecutive shots by the Mustangs during the contest. Frisoni also saved both attempts she faced in overtime.
This marks Frisoni's fourth MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week award of the season. The goaltender has been presented with this honor 10 times during her career at Lebanon Valley. The Flying Dutchmen have now earned nine MAC weekly awards during the 2025-26 campaign.
