ANNVILLE, Pa. – Logan Hicks scored a clutch goal for the Lebanon Valley College men's soccer team with less than 10 minutes left in the second half, propelling the program to a big 2-1 victory over Dickinson College on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Herbert Field. This marked LVC's fifth straight win.

Isaac Yerger made a save for the Flying Dutchmen. Lebanon Valley kept working to generate scoring chances as the first half progressed, as
Ben Ammon took a shot that went off the crossbar at the 22:03 mark. Dickinson later countered with a shot on goal at the 26:27 mark, which Yerger saved for the Dutchmen.
Lebanon Valley opened the scoring 29:38 into the first stanza, taking a 1-0 lead.
Nathan Kimball delivered a corner kick into the goal box, which led to
Gavin Rapp sending a header shot into the lower-right side of the net for a goal. During the remainder of the half, the Red Devils had a 3-2 advantage in shots. In this stretch, Kimball and
Brayden Burkhardt each put a shot on target for LVC that was saved. Yerger also came through with a save for the Flying Dutchmen at the 43:06 mark. Lebanon Valley went on to take its one-goal advantage into halftime.
The programs continued to battle when the second half got underway, as each team put a shot on goal that was saved during the first 10:50. Dickinson then got on the board at the 56:32 mark, tying the game at 1-1 on a goal by Darian Crim. The Red Devils followed this by having a 10-0 advantage in shots over the next 22:32. During this stretch, Yerger made important saves for the Dutchmen at the 63:49 and 65:22 marks.
Lebanon Valley found the net again 80:45 into the game, taking a 2-1 lead over Dickinson. The Red Devils were charged with a yellow card at the 80:40 mark, prompting a free kick for the Flying Dutchmen. Kimball took the free kick and sent the ball to just behind the back of the goal box, where Hicks took a header shot that went into the lower-left corner of the net for a clutch goal. Dickinson countered with shot attempts at the 82:36 and 87:18 marks, but LVC's defense answered with a pair of blocks. Yerger also made a key save with just 48 seconds remaining, before the Red Devils sent a shot over the upper-right corner of the net as time expired. Ultimately, the Dutchmen preserved their one-goal advantage through the end of play.
