John Wilsbach, the "voice" of Lebanon Valley College men's and women's basketball and football for 20 years, was named the 2025 Broadcaster of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. He will be honored in Harrisburg during the association's annual luncheon on April 10.

Part of the 16-member Middle Atlantic Conference's longest-running booth with Brian Keyser and Steve Leedy, Wilsbach is well-known in the Central PA region. He, Keyser, and Leedy have covered numerous historic LVC athletic events, including the 2013 LVC Football playoff season and 2011-12 Women's Basketball NCAA Quarterfinals season.

"It's an honor to be recognized by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters," said Wilsbach. "Lebanon Valley College Athletics has been a noteworthy part of my sportscasting career. I treasure the many coaches, student-athletes, and exciting moments I've been associated with on the LVC broadcasts!"

"The opportunity to meet, interview, and befriend numerous academic and athletic All-Americans, Tom Corbett [LVC Class of 1971, Men's Lacrosse, Pennsylvania's 46th Governor], and countless other distinguished Valley alumni is a rare gift."

Wilsbach will be honored for a legendary career that includes providing insight into athletics at the high school, college, and professional levels, as well as for other roles. Best known for his role as the region's traffic reporter since 1995, oftentimes using a Cessna airplane, on numerous stations like WINK, WTPA, WSOX, WQXA, WSBA, WIOV, WARM, and 106.7, Wilsbach is the General Manager of WMSS, where he teaches Middletown High School students about the radio field and covers the Blue Raiders football and basketball squads.

He first came to the attention of the Central PA community as the lead commentator for the Harrisburg Heat Professional Soccer Club, which he covered from 1991-2003 and 2012-present. Later becoming team owner from 2013-16, Wilsbach traveled thousands of miles to support the club, including to St. Louis when the Heat reached the National Championship Finals in 1995. He also covered the Philadelphia Kixx throughout its 2007 MISL Championship season.

Wilsbach, who was inducted as a sportscaster into the Capital Area Chapter of the PA Sports Hall of Fame in 2020 and Harrisburg Heat Hall of Fame in 2023, served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and Air Guard while attending Harrisburg Area Community College, all while launching his broadcast career. He has also announced for the Hershey Impact, Philadelphia Kixx, Hershey Bears, and the Big 33 Football Classic.
