ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley College has announced that Tracey A. Smith Stover '91 and David P. Stover '91 will be presented with the 2026 Hot Dog Frank Athletic Service Award on Saturday, January 24. The Stovers' connection to LVC dates to 1987, when they were first-year students.
Tracey, Chair of the LVC Board of Trustees, and David, who played football under legendary Head Coach Jim Monos at The Valley, will be honored during halftime of the women's basketball game, which tips off at 1 p.m., against MAC Freedom rival Delaware Valley University.
The alumni couple will be recognized for their support and commitment to enhancing the LVC student-athlete experience. They have been especially active in the College's Blue & White Club.
The LVC administration established the award in 1985 to honor the late Frank Aftosmes (1902–94) for his many contributions to the Athletics Program. Aftosmes was an Annville businessman and devoted supporter of LVC Athletics, whose statue now stands in the Peace Garden. Since its establishment in 1985, 44 individuals have been honored for their dedication and loyalty to LVC Athletics.
"The Stovers have generously supported LVC Athletics with gifts to our athletic spaces, most notably the 2025 Henry and Gladys Arnold Field turf and track replacement," said Patrick Ratke, Director of Athletics. "Their support and leadership helped catalyze an ongoing effort to construct a new stadium, benefitting multiple Dutchmen athletic programs and other student activities."
Tracey, a two-term Chair who has served on the LVC Board since 2011, is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She earned her MBA (Management) from Lehigh University after dual-majoring in Accounting and Management at Lebanon Valley College. She worked in ever-increasing roles at PwC, three offices (Philadelphia, Denver, and Houston), and has enjoyed serving multinational audit clients in a variety of industries including industrial and consumer products, retail, services, and private equity. In addition to her client service roles, Tracey is integral to the rollout of the firm's next generation audit platform.
David worked his way up the ranks to become General Manager of Sales and Operations of CJ's Tire & Automotive Services, after earning his Management degree at LVC. He then moved to the company's Wholesale business, The Tire Source.net, as Director of Sales and Business Development.
He was a four-year member of the Flying Dutchmen Football squad, and his teams defeated historic rival Albright College in each of his last three seasons. He was also a member of the Business Club and Kappa Sigma Kappa.
The Stovers have two children, Noah and Ashley. They are members of the College's prestigious Lifetime Vickroy Society, which recognizes alumni and friends who have a cumulative lifetime giving of $100,000 or more.
The Hot Dog Frank Athletic Service Award is given annually during halftime of a basketball game, with the tradition of free hot dogs for all fans served between the men's and women's games.
