CHESTER, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley swimming teams were in action on Wednesday evening as the Dutchmen took on Widener University, Immaculata University, and Bryn Mawr College at Widener's Schwartz Center.
LVC did not have many swimmers competing at the meet, but those who did compete swam fast times. The women's team got swept by all three schools while the men's team earned a split, defeating Immaculata 76-54 and falling to the host Pride by a score of 126-42.
Inside the Results
- Ryan Kuffa won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.29 seconds. Roman Schelhorn was fifth in a MAC qualifying 24.65 seconds. Jana Shoffner swam a time of 29.29 seconds to finish seventh in the women's heats.
- Noryan Mitchell finished fifth in the 100-yard butterfly with a career-best time of 1:09.82. Owen Fastrich was second in the men's race as he touched the wall in 1:00.01.
- Natalie Bourne was fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.80.
- Fastrich and Ryan Moreno were the only two men to swim the 500-yard freestyle. Fastrich touched first in 5:32.97 while Moreno swam a time of 6:42.77.
- Nora Cuthie finished fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:20.57. Schelhorn was second in the men's heats, touching the wall in another MAC qualifying time of 1:12.59.
- The women's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Shoffner, Bourne, Ashley Clark, and Mitchell was third with a time of 1:56.19. The men's squad of Schelhorn, Graham Peperrak, Fastrich, and Kuffa was also third in 1:48.01.

The Dutchmen are scheduled to honor their five seniors on Sunday with Senior Day at the Arnold Sports Center. The ceremony will begin around 1 p.m. with an Alumni Meet to follow. LVC will then close out the regular season on Saturday, Jan. 31, as they compete at Stevenson's Last Chance Qualifier Time Trials.
