Lasky’s Two Goals Propel Dutchmen Women’s Soccer to Win at Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Jordan Lasky scored both goals for the Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team, fueling the program's 2-0 victory over Elizabethtown College on Saturday, Sept. 6 at Ira R. Herr Field. The Flying Dutchmen have won each of their first three matchups to start the 2025 season.

The Blue Jays (1-2-0) took the first shot of the game, sending the ball over the net 4:59 into the first half. The Dutchmen (3-0-0) then opened the scoring at the 7:42 mark, taking an early 1-0 lead. The program got on the board after its first shot of the day, as Lasky found the lower-right corner of the net for a goal, courtesy of an assist by Jayme Beninda. Lebanon Valley kept working to generate offensive opportunities as the opening stanza progressed, as Beninda sent a shot over the net 12:23 into the first.

Abrielle Miller then registered a shot attempt for LVC that deflected off the crossbar at the 14:09 mark, while Alison Sepkovic took a pair of shots within four seconds, later in the 15th minute. Miller also kept contributing to the scoring efforts by the Dutchmen, sending a shot to the left of the net at the 21:57 mark. Elizabethtown then countered with a shot that went over the net 25:54 into the opening half. Lebanon Valley logged the last shot of the first, as Mikhaela Sartor's attempt was saved at the 28:41 mark. The programs proceeded to battle defensively through the remaining minutes of the stanza, providing the Flying Dutchmen with a 1-0 lead entering halftime.

The Blue Jays recorded their first shot on goal of the afternoon 2:23 into the second half, and goalkeeper Camryn Porter delivered an important save for the Dutchmen. Lebanon Valley then found the net again at the 51:08 mark, extending the program's advantage to 2-0. Lasky scored her second goal of the contest on a shot into the lower-right corner of the net, following an assist by Miller. Elizabethtown responded by putting shots on goal at the 53:45 and 57:15, which both resulted in stops by Porter. The Flying Dutchmen also kept sending shots toward the net, as Lasky kicked the ball to the right of the net at the 68:41 mark before Megan Ressler's try was saved 49 seconds later.

Porter also remained dominant in front of the net for Lebanon Valley, logging key stops for the program at the 72:28 and 80:01 marks. The Blue Jays then took three shots during a 30-second stretch that began near the end of the 82nd minute, but LVC's defense helped keep any of these shots from being put on goal. Ultimately, the Dutchmen preserved their lead through the end of the game to secure the victory.
