IMMACULATA, Pa. – Jayme Beninda scored the first two goals of her career and goalkeeper Camryn Porter posted a shutout, leading the Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Immaculata University on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Draper Walsh Stadium. LVC has delivered shutout wins in each of its four games so far this year.

The Dutchmen (4-0-0) took the first shot of the afternoon, as Beninda put an attempt on goal that was saved 4:57 into the first half. The Mighty Macs (1-1-1) countered by sending the ball toward the net at the 5:17 mark, and Porter came through with a save for LVC. Lebanon Valley proceeded to generate several offensive opportunities, tallying five shots on goal over the next 10:46. During this stretch, Abrielle Miller took a shot on goal that was saved at the 6:22 mark before Alison Sepkovic, Mikhaela Sartor, and Jordan Lasky each logged attempts that were saved within 38 seconds in the 14th minute. Kalei Noonan also registered a try for LVC that was saved 16:03 into the contest.

The Flying Dutchmen opened the scoring 19:57 into the first half, taking a 1-0 lead over the Mighty Macs. Beninda got the program on the board by kicking the ball into the upper-left corner of the net for a goal, courtesy of an assist by Miller. Lebanon Valley followed this by creating more scoring chances, as Noonan took a shot that was saved at the 21:48 mark and Sophia Floyd had an attempt saved 24:42 into the game. Floyd also put a shot on goal that was saved at the 34:19 mark, while Olivia Baldwin's try was saved 32 seconds later. The Dutchmen were dominant on the defensive end as well, keeping the Immaculata from taking a shot through the remainder of the half after its attempt in the sixth minute. LVC took its one-goal advantage into halftime.

The teams competed on the defensive end when the second half got underway, as neither program tallied a shot for over eight minutes at the start. Lebanon Valley then continued to send the ball toward the net, putting five shots on goal from the 55th minute through the 70th minute. During this stretch, Miller had three attempts saved, while Baldwin and Bowman also put shots on goal that were saved. This was followed by Kennedy Dings logging a try that was saved at the 72:12 mark.

The Dutchmen added a point 77:13 into the game, extending their advantage to 2-0. Beninda scored her second goal of the day, taking a shot from the left side of the penalty box that deflected off the hands of the goalkeeper before ending up in the right side of the net. Bowman was credited with the assist on LVC's second goal.

The programs proceeded to go back and forth on the defensive end, as neither team took a shot during the remainder of the contest. Lebanon Valley was stellar defensively throughout the second half, keeping Immaculata from taking a shot during the stanza. This prompted the Flying Dutchmen to secure the 2-0 victory over the Mighty Macs.
