SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Adam Warren earned a pair of wins of Sunday afternoon as the Lebanon Valley men's tennis team was edged 4-3 by host Susquehanna University in a tightly-contested dual match at the Garrett Tennis Courts in Selinsgrove.
The Dutchmen swept all three doubles matches in their first dual match of the year to earn the doubles points. The River Hawks (1-1) rallied to win four of the six singles matches to come away with the victory in their first home match of the year. SU won at number one, number two, number four, and number six.
Inside the Box
- Jesse Beck and Zach Schrader were the first doubles court to finish as the duo won 6-1 at number one.
- Jake Erb and Warren were 6-2 winners at number two to clinch the doubles point.
- Zachary Elmore and Ethan Luu battled back to force a tiebreaker and then won the tiebreaker 7-5 to win 7-6 at number three.
- After the River Hawks had won the first two singles matches, Warren won a three-set battle 7-6 (10-8), 3-6, 6-2 at number three singles to even the match up at two. Warren improved to 3-1 in singles play this year.
- Mason Dissinger won his number five singles match in straight sets 6-3, 7-5 to improve to 3-1 on the year.
- The match came down to number six singles where Jared Hostetter battled in a close match but dropped a 7-5, 6-4 decision.

The Dutchmen will return to action on Thursday, Sept. 25 with the first home dual match of the season. LVC will take on Penn State Harrisburg starting a 4 p.m. at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
