NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College field hockey and women's soccer teams garnered recognition from the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Tuesday, as two student-athletes earned awards for their performances during the opening weekend of the 2025 season.

Claire Weidenhammer was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week for her contributions to Dutchmen Field Hockey's season-opening win over Elizabethtown College. Sophomore goalkeeper
Camryn Porter was also selected as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week after helping lead LVC's women's soccer team to a victory against Moravian University in its first game of the year.
Weidenhammer scored both goals, including the game-winner in the 54
th minute, as Lebanon Valley defeated Elizabethtown 2-1 in its opener on Friday, Aug. 29. The junior forward recorded her seventh career multi-goal game and eighth game-winning strike. The field hockey team's first conference weekly honor of 2025 marks Weidenhammer's second career MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week award. She was also honored by the conference on Nov. 4, 2024. Additionally, Weidenhammer was chosen as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 6, 2024.
Porter made three saves in the second half to secure the Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team's 1-0 shutout over Moravian on Friday afternoon. The sophomore's biggest stop came in the 78
th minute to keep the game scoreless before LVC netted the decisive goal. Lebanon Valley's first MAC Freedom weekly award of the season marks the fourth Porter has earned in her career. The goalkeeper was also listed as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week three times last September.
