Abby Rodenberger had her rebound shot saved.
Claire Weidenhammer had a shot blocked a minute later that led to another corner.
Rebecca Lane had her shot off the corner saved, and then a rebound attempt by
Gracie Johnson sailed wide. The Dutchmen would put two more shots on the cage over the rest of the period as
Lauren Foster and
Joanna Ehrhart had their attempts saved.

The Dutchmen earned another corner at the 26-minute mark, and Weidenhammer got a good look off the insertion, but her attempt was kept out of the goal. SLU held the Dutchmen offense at bay the rest of the half to keep the one-goal advantage.

The Dutchmen evened the game at one in the 38th minute as Foster was able to score off a feed from Ehrhart. LVC kept the pressure up and earned a penalty corner in the 40th minute. A shot by Rodenberger was saved off the corner, and the Dutchmen were awarded another corner. The second corner attempt did not result in a shot.
