Men’s Tennis Sweeps Arcadia in Conference Opener

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team won all nine matches in a big 7-0 victory over Arcadia University on a chilly Wednesday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center in the team's first conference match of the season.
 
The Dutchmen (5-9, 1-0 MAC Freedom) earned their second sweep of the spring. LVC won all three doubles matches in 30 minutes before needing around an hour for nearly every singles match.
 
Inside the Box
  • Zach Schrader and Jake Erb were the first doubles court done with a 6-2 win at number one. The duo improves to 3-5 when playing together.
  • Colin Brusse and Michael Schuetz earned a 6-3 victory at number two doubles. They are now 2-2 when playing together this season.
  • Ethan Luu and Vincent Thompson completed the doubles sweep with a 6-4 victory at number three. They have won the last two matches they have played together.
  • Erb was the first singles court to finish with a 6-4, 6-0 win at number two. He cruised in the second set after a close first set.
  • Schuetz won in two sets at number three with a 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 victory. The senior has won his last two matches.
  • Schrader needed three sets to win at number one singles. His 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 victory is his fourth three-set win of the year.
  • Brusse earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at number four singles to improve to 7-6. He has won his last two matches.
  • Luu won 6-3, 6-2 at number five for his second straight singles win. He is now 6-5 on the season.
  • Jared Hostetter wrapped up the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at number six. He has won his last two matches in singles play.
Up Next
The Dutchmen are scheduled to be right back in action tomorrow afternoon with another conference match. LVC will travel to FDU-Florham in Madison, New Jersey to take on the Devils at 3:30 p.m.
