Men’s Tennis Sweeps Singles Play to Defeat FDU-Florham

MADISON, N.J. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team earned a huge conference victory on Thursday by sweeping all six singles matches in a 6-1 victory at FDU-Florham to hand the Devils their first conference loss.

The two doubles matches were played last Thursday with the Devils (7-5, 3-1 MAC Freedom) winning at number one and number two to earn the doubles points. FDU-Florham did not field a number three doubles team, and the Dutchmen (8-10, 2-1 MAC Freedom) were awarded the win by default. Rain halted play at the beginning of singles play and LVC made the trip back to Madison today to finish play. With the match tied at one coming into the day since the Devils forfeited at number six singles, the Dutchmen won all five singles matches that were played with three matches going three sets.
