READING, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team won four of the six singles matches to defeat host Albright College 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon in Reading.
The Dutchmen (4-9) rallied from an early deficit against the Lions (4-5) in a tightly contested match where two singles matches went three sets. Albright won two of the three doubles matches to win the first team point. LVC earned a win at number three doubles. The Dutchmen then won numbers three, four, five, and six in singles for a comeback victory.
Inside the Box
- Ethan Luu and Vincent Thompson won 6-3 at number three doubles for their first win of the season when playing together.
- The other two doubles matches were close as Zach Schrader and Jake Erb dropped a tough 6-4 decision at number one while Colin Brusse and Michael Schuetz fell 7-5 at number two.
- Schrader and Erb went three sets at number one and number two singles with each dropping the third set. Schrader was dealt a tough 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-2) defeat at number one while Erb dropped a 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 (10-4) decision at number two.
- Schuetz made quick work of his opponent at number three singles with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 victory.
- Brusse needed a tiebreaker in the first set before cruising to a two-set win at number four singles by a score of 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. He evened his record up at 6-6 on the season.
- Jared Hostetter earned his first singles win of the season with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at number six.
- Luu gave the Dutchmen a thrilling victory as the final court to finish play with a huge 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) win at number five. He improved to 5-5 in singles play on the season.
- The victory allowed the Dutchmen to extend their unbeaten streak against Albright to 15 matches dating back to 2006.

The Dutchmen will be off until Saturday April 5 when they will begin conference play at FDU-Florham. LVC heads to Madison, N.J. for a 12 p.m. start against the Devils.
