ANNVILLE, Pa. – Zach Schrader and
Jake Erb both won twice for the Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team on Wednesday afternoon in a tough 4-3 defeat to visiting Messiah University at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
The Falcons (3-4) won two of the three doubles to win the doubles point to start the match. The Dutchmen (3-8) came away with a victory at number one doubles by Schrader and Erb. The teams then split the six singles matches with LVC coming away with victories on courts one, two, and four.
Inside the Box
- Erb and Schrader handed Messiah's top doubles team their first loss of the year with a 6-4 victory. The duo improved to 2-3 when playing together.
- Erb was the first singles court to finish at number two as he won his third match of the year 6-2, 6-4.
- Schrader earned a big 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) victory at number one singles over Chase Wilson who has been one of the top players in the MAC Commonwealth the past few years.
- Colin Brusse won a first set tiebreaker and then cruised in the second set for a 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 win at number four. He evened his singled record up at 5-5 on the season with the victory.
