ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team battled tough in a 7-0 defeat to Grove City College on chilly and cloudy Saturday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
The Wolverines (3-2) started the match off by winning all three doubles matches to earn the first team point of the match. LVC (3-7) battled tough through singles play sending three matches to three sets and having two tiebreakers needed to decide sets.
Inside the Box
- Zach Schrader battled back after dropping the first set at number one singles 6-2 to force a third set with a 6-4 second set victory. His opponent won the third set 6-2.
- Jake Erb also rallied from a 6-4 defeat in the first set to force a third set with a 7-6 (7-4) second set win. He dropped a tough third set by a score of 11-9 at number two singles.
- Ethan Luu lost his number five singles first set in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-4) and then dropped the second set 6-4.
- Michael Schuetz had a pair of close sets at number three singles falling 6-4, 6-3.

The Dutchmen will look to rebound next Friday evening as they host Messiah University for a 6 p.m. start under the lights of the Shankroff Tennis Center.
