ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team swept all six singles matches to defeat host Eastern University 7-0 on Thursday afternoon in St. Davids.
The Dutchmen (3-6) won two of the three doubles matches to earn the first team point. LVC won at number two and number one while Eastern took the third doubles court. They then won all six singles matches to record the first 7-0 victory of the season.
Inside the Box
- Ethan Luu and Michael Schuetz were the first doubles court to finish at number two with a 6-2 victory. The duo improved to 4-3 on the season.
- Zach Schrader and Jake Erb earned their first win playing together at number one doubles with a 6-2 victory to clinch the doubles point.
- Grant Rowe made his collegiate debut and teamed with Colin Brusse at number three doubles where the duo dropped at hard-fought 7-5 decision.
- Brusse made quick work at number three singles winning 6-0, 6-0. He evened his record up at 4-4 on the season.
- Luu was done right after him with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at number four. He improves to 4-2 on the year.
- Erb clinched the match victory with a 6-4, 6-1 win at number two. The victory was his second of the season in singles.
- Schrader needed three sets at number one to earn his fourth win of the season. The first-year defeated Eastern's top player 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. He is 3-0 in three-set matches this season.
- Antonio Scaramuzzino earned his first win of the season at number five with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
- Vincent Thompson wrapped up the match at number six with a 6-2, 6-4 win to improve to 2-1 on the season.
- LVC is now 19-2 all-time against the Eagles and have won the last 12 meetings.

The Dutchmen will host Grove City College on Saturday afternoon in the first home match of the spring at Shankroff Tennis Center. First serves are scheduled for 3 p.m. against the Wolverines.
