ANNVILLE, Pa. – Jake Bollinger scored four goals to lead the Lebanon Valley Men's Lacrosse team in a hard-fought 17-9 defeat to Haverford College on Saturday afternoon at Arnold Field.
The Fords (2-1) got out to a 5-0 lead on the Dutchmen (0-2) with five goals in the first seven minutes. Bollinger got LVC on the board with his first goal of the season with a little over two minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Fords would score with 35 second left to take a 6-1 lead after the first 15 minutes. Haverford took advantage of an early penalty in the second quarter to increase their lead scoring two goals in the first two minutes including a man-up goal.
Sean Poole scored his first goal of the season off an assist by
Montgomery Sensenig not even 30 seconds after Haverford's goal. Bollinger scored his second goal of the game off a feed by
Garret Harmon to make it 8-3 six minutes in the period. The Fords added a goal with five minutes left before Bollinger completed his hat trick a minute later to make it 9-4. Haverford scored the final goal of the half to take a six-goal advantage into the break.
LVC started the second half strong as Poole found the back of the net for the second time off a pass by
Hayden Carling. Haverford scored two minutes later before
John Lux cut the deficit to 11-6 with his second goal of the season. The Fords scored three times in the final four minutes of the quarter to take a 14-6 lead. The scoring streak continued into the fourth as three more goals were scored in the first five minutes to push the advantage to 11. Bollinger stopped the run with his fourth goal with 9:42 remaining in the game.
Nick Gleason and Lux added goals in a one-minute span to set the final score.

- Bollinger had four goals on seven shots. He moved within one goal of the record at LVC with 149 career goals.
- Poole had two goals and an assist for three points. He scored on his only two shots of the game.
- Lux had two goals on four shots to give him 40 for his career. The attacker took four shots putting each one on goal.
- Gleason recorded the first point of his career with a goal.
- Trey Ralston recorded the 56th assist of his career to give him 147 career points, just two shy of passing former teammate Carson Frey who finished his career fifth in program history with 149 points.
- Kellen Markley made 16 saves in goal.
- Gavin Porter won 10 of 17 face-offs.
