NEWTOWN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley Football standout
Evan Kutzler added another impressive award to his resume on Tuesday as the safety was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Football Senior Scholar-Athlete in a release by the conference office.
Kutzler, an Exercise Science major, is coming off an outstanding senior season where he earned D3football.com All-Region Second Team honors and All-MAC First Team honors. On the field, Kutzler led the MAC and finished eighth in the nation with 0.6 interceptions per game. The senior was also a Third Team All-Region honoree last year.
This award comes right after he earned First Team Academic All-America® honors a few weeks ago, becoming the first in program history to be selected as an Academic All-American. Kutzler has also earned Academic All-MAC each of the past two seasons and has been on the MAC Academic Honor Roll all four years. He was a Academic All-District honoree twice as well as being named to the Dean's List six times.
Kutzler becomes LVCs second Football winner after Nick Bentz in 2019. Overall, the Dutchmen now have 39 MAC Senior Scholar-Athletes with at least one in every year since the 2008-09 academic year.
