12/9/2025 11:01:00 AM

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's basketball and women's ice hockey teams were recognized by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Tuesday, Dec. 9, as the conference office announced that a student-athlete from each program received a conference weekly award for their recent performances.

Senior forward Kailey Eckhart was honored for her production in the past two victories for Lebanon Valley's women's basketball team, earning the MAC Freedom Player of the Week award. Junior goaltender Mia Frisoni was also honored for her contributions to a four-point weekend for LVC's women's ice hockey team against Arcadia University, as she was chosen as the MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.

Eckhart led Dutchmen Women's Basketball to a 2-0 week by averaging 15.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game. She posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double in a 64-59 win over York College of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and added 17 points and nine rebounds in a 75-36 victory over Centenary University on Saturday, Dec. 6. Thirteen of her points came during a decisive third-quarter run in which LVC outscored Centenary 23-4. This marks the first MAC Freedom Player of the Week award of Eckhart's career. Lebanon Valley has now been presented with two conference weekly honors this season, as senior guard Riley Hevelow was recognized on Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Frisoni totaled 69 saves across a four-point weekend for Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey team. She opened with a 33-save performance in a 4-3 win over Arcadia on Friday, Dec. 5—LVC's first win against the Knights since 2023—stopping all 12 shots in the first period, all 11 in the second, and 10 in the third. She followed with 36 saves in a 3-2 overtime battle the next day, making multiple key stops in every period and five more in overtime. This is Frisoni's third MAC Ice Hockey Defensive Player of the Week award of the campaign, as she was also presented with the honor on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and Tuesday, Nov. 25. The goaltender has now earned the award nine times in her career. Additionally, the Flying Dutchmen have received six MAC weekly honors so far this winter.
