ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College women's soccer team clinched its spot in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Tournament, as the program posted a dominant 4-0 victory over King's College on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Herbert Field.
Jordan Lasky led LVC's offense with two goals and an assist, while four other players tallied at least one point during the win.
The Dutchmen (13-2-2, 4-1-1 MAC Freedom) didn't waste any time opening the scoring, taking a 1-0 lead over the Monarchs (5-10-2, 1-4-1 MAC Freedom) just 1:05 into the game.
Jayme Beninda put a shot on target that was saved and deflected into the goal box, leading to Lasky kicking the ball into the lower-left corner of the net for a goal. LVC followed this with a couple more offensive opportunities, as
Abrielle Miller sent a shot to the right of the net at the 4:42 mark, and Lasky had a try go above the net at the 6:33 mark. Lebanon Valley found the net again 8:52 into the first half, taking a 2-0 advantage. Lasky delivered a cross from the right side of the field to the back of the goal box, leading to Miller sending a header shot into the lower-right side of the net for a goal.
The programs proceeded to go back and forth defensively for over nine minutes, as neither squad took a shot during this stretch. King's registered the contest's next shot at the 18:17 mark, which resulted in goalkeeper
Camryn Porter making a save for LVC. The Flying Dutchmen also remained aggressive on the offensive end as the opening stanza progressed, as
Megan Ressler put a shot on goal that was saved at the 20:32 mark before Miller had tries saved at the 21:08 and 23:50 marks. Lebanon Valley later added another tally 29:28 into the game, claiming a 3-0 lead. The scoring play started when Miller delivered a corner kick to Ressler in the penalty box, who passed the ball to
Mikhaela Sartor in the goal box. Sartor then kicked the ball into the lower-right corner of the net for LVC's third goal of the afternoon.
This was followed by Miller recording a couple of shots for the Dutchmen, putting an attempt on target that was saved at the 30:36 mark before another try was blocked at the 31:48 mark. Lebanon Valley also continued to produce defensively, blocking shot attempts by the Monarchs at the 34:00 and 41:33 marks. LVC later took the last two shots of the first half, as
Mikayla Mitchell sent an attempt above the net, and
Naomi Bowman had a shot saved within 32 seconds in the 45th minute. The Flying Dutchmen took their three-goal advantage into halftime.
The teams competed defensively early in the second half, as neither side took a shot for over five minutes at the start. Lebanon Valley kept working to create scoring chances as the contest went on, as
Emilee Walborn sent a shot to the right of the net at the 50:11 mark while
Alison Sepkovic had an attempt blocked at the 51:22 mark. Lasky then sent a try over the upper-right corner of the net at the 53:06 mark, and Miller had a shot go off the crossbar at the 55:26 mark. Sartor and Sepkovic later logged shots that went to the left of the net at the 56:27 and 57:01 marks, respectively. Miller followed this with a shot on goal for LVC that was saved 58:37 into the game, before
Kalei Noonan sent a shot to the left of the goal at the 65:41 mark. King's responded with an offensive opportunity at the 70:04 mark, taking a shot that went to the left of the net.
The Dutchmen kept battling as the second half rolled on, as Noonan took a shot that went to the right of the net 74:35 into the contest, and Sepkovic put a shot on target that was saved at the 78:32 mark. Lebanon Valley then tacked on an insurance point at the 87:06 mark, prompting 4-0 to be the final score. Lasky put a shot on goal that was saved and deflected back to her just behind the right side of the goal box, leading to the senior kicking the ball into the lower-left corner of the net for her second goal of the day.

- Lebanon Valley earned its first trip to the postseason since 2022. This marks the first time the program has qualified for the postseason as a member of the MAC Freedom.
- Lasky recorded five points with two goals, including the game-winner and an assist. The senior leads the MAC Freedom with 13 goals, and her four game-winning goals are tied with Miller for the most in the conference. Additionally, Lasky took five shots with three attempts on goal.
- Miller logged three points with her 11th goal of the year and an assist. The junior leads the MAC Freedom with 30 points, and her eight assists are tied with Beninda for the most in the conference. Miller also posted game-highs with eight shots and five attempts on target.
- Sartor scored her second goal of the fall.
- Beninda assisted Lasky's game-winning goal. The first-year's eight assists are tied with Miller for the most in the conference.
- Ressler was credited with the primary assist on Sartor's goal.
- Porter made one save during her 10th shutout of the season, which sets a single-season program record. This record was previously held by Stacey Delano, who posted nine shutouts for the Flying Dutchmen in 2001.
- Lebanon Valley outshot King's 25-4 and had a 13-1 advantage in shots on goal.
- LVC had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.
- Defensively, the Flying Dutchmen held the opposition to just one shot in the second half.
