Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Fall with 5-2 Victory

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team ended the fall season on a high note with an impressive 5-2 win over visiting Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday afternoon at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
 
LVC (3-4) won two of the three doubles matches to win the first point of the match. Penn State Harrisburg won the first two singles matches at number one and number two to take a 2-1 lead. The Dutchmen responded by winning the final four matches to avenge a 4-3 defeat to the Lions last year.
 
Inside the Box
  • Mason Dissinger and Jake Erb made quick work at number three doubles to earn a 6-0 victory. The duo finishes the fall with a 2-1 dual record in doubles.
  • Adam Warren and Ethan Luu won the doubles point with a 6-2 victory at number two. They also finished the fall with a 2-1 doubles record in duals.
  • Warren evened the match up at two with a big 7-5, 6-3 victory at number three singles. The graduate student won his second dual match of the fall in singles play.
  • Dissinger gave the Dutchmen the lead with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number five. The first-year is 4-3 in dual matches this fall.
  • Colin Brusse clinched the match victory at number six with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory. The junior evened his dual record up at 3-3 while going 3-2 at number six this fall.
  • Erb also won in straight sets at number four with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the final match of the day. The senior finishes the fall with a 3-2 record in singles during dual matches.
Up Next
Lebanon Valley will next compete in the spring. The Dutchmen will head to Hilton Head, S.C., for the Spring Tennis Fest as the team's annual spring break trip. The first home match will be on Wednesday, March 11, at 4 p.m. against Drew University.
