ANNVILLE, Pa. – Evin Timochenko was nearly perfect from the field scoring a team-high 15 points for the Lebanon Valley Men's Basketball team in a tough 66-56 defeat to visiting Misericordia University on Wednesday evening at Sorrentino Gymnasium in Annville.
Misericordia (8-6, 1-2 MAC Freedom) scored first in the game on a driving layup following an offensive rebound. LVC (7-7, 1-2 MAC Freedom) came right down the court and tied the game up on a
Ryan Harder pull up jumper on the right side. The Cougars responded right back at the other end. After a few possessions back and forth of missed shots, Misericordia knocked down a three to take a 7-2 lead with 16 minutes on the clock. Timochenko scored on a bucket underneath and then Misericordia scored on three consecutive possessions to increase the lead to 13-4.
Tyson Hofsass stopped the run with a corner three and then knocked down a pair of foul shots to get the Dutchmen within four. The Cougars countered with an 8-2 run over the next three minutes to take a 21-11 lead.
The lead was at 12 points when

The Cougars scored with nine seconds remaining and then Harder drove all the way down the court and scored on a layup right before time expired to send the Dutchmen into the locker room down 32-26 at the half.
LVC came out of the break and scored on the first possession as Harder drove to the hoops once again. The Cougars answered right back and then
Wil Laskowski found Timochenko underneath for an easy two. The Dutchmen were unable to score over the next three minutes and Misericordia scored on a putback and a three to push the lead to nine. Timochenko found
Braden Bohannon open for a three, but the Cougars responded right back with a layup. Harder and Bohannon scored on back-to-back possessions before a 8-0 run for the Cougars increased the lead to 49-37 as the Dutchmen called a timeout with 12:39 on the clock.
Neither team was able to score until Hofsass hit a pair of free throws with just over nine to play. After a Cougar bucket,
