ANNVILLE, Pa. – Alison Sepkovic scored her first goal of the season for the Lebanon Valley College Women's Soccer team, as the program dropped a close 2-1 contest to Elizabethtown College in its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Herbert Field.

The Dutchmen and the Blue Jays went back and forth defensively in the first half while competing through rain. LVC created a pair of offensive opportunities early, as Sophia Floyd took a shot 1:05 into the game while Darrian Berkheimer registered an attempt that went left of the net at the 9:10 mark. The Blue Jays followed this with a shot on goal 12:03 into the match, but goalkeeper Camryn Porter was there to make the save for Lebanon Valley.

Elizabethtown also sent the ball toward the net 18:27 into the first half and at the 21:13 mark, and both of these attempts resulted in saves by Porter. The goalkeeper later faced a shot 32:20 into the Stanza and logged her fourth save of the afternoon. The Flying Dutchmen also worked to get their offense rolling as the half progressed, as Abby Sedun took a shot that went to the right of the net 38:19 into the first. The programs ended up going into halftime in a 0-0 tie.

LVC recorded the first shot of the stanza, as Mikayla Mitchell sent the ball toward the center of the net 4:31 into the frame, but it was saved by the goalkeeper. The Blue Jays countered with an attempt that was saved by Porter toward the bottom right of the net 57:47 into the game. Emily Miller followed this with a shot on goal that was saved 51 seconds later. Elizabethtown then opened the scoring at the 65:11 mark, taking a 1-0 lead on a goal by Ava Whisten.
