ANNVILLE, Pa. – Zach Schrader won three of his four matches on Saturday as the Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team took on Dickinson College and Gettysburg College at Shankroff Tennis Center in the first two matches of the fall.
The Dutchmen faced off against the Red Devils of Dickinson on Saturday afternoon in the first match of the day. LVC won all three doubles matches to win the doubles point. Dickinson rallied by winning five of the six singles matches to defeat the Dutchmen 5-2.
LVC then took on Gettysburg under the lights and fell 7-0 to the Bullets. The Dutchmen won at number one doubles but Gettysburg won the other eight matches.
Inside the Boxes
- Schrader won both of his number one doubles matches with Adam Warren. The duo defeated Dickinson 6-2 and then earned LVC's lone win against Gettysburg with a 6-4 decision. The first-year won his number two singles match against Dickinson 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 and dropped his number one singles match against the Bullets 6-2, 6-0.
- Colin Brusse and Jake Erb won 6-2 at number three doubles against Dickinson.
- Michael Schuetz and Ethan Luu also won 6-2 against Dickinson at number two doubles.
- Three of the singles matches against Dickinson went to three sets. Adam Warren dropped a 6-7, 6-1, 6-2 decision at number one.
- Jake Erb went to three sets in both of his singles matches. He fell 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 against Dickinson and 6-0, 6-7 (5-7), 10-8 against Gettysburg.

LVC will return to the courts next Saturday when they welcome University of Scranton to the Shankroff Tennis Center for a 1 p.m. start.
