NEWTOWN, Pa. – Four members of the Lebanon Valley College baseball team were recognized on Monday, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 2024 All-MAC Freedom Team. Graduate student shortstop Nico Santoro and senior designated hitter Shane Stossel were both named to the Second Team, while junior first baseman Logan Brewer and senior second baseman Ethan O'Loughlin were listed as Honorable Mentions.
Santoro was selected to an All-Conference team for the third time in his career, following a strong 2024 season. The graduate student led the club with a .441 batting average, 45 hits, and 18 doubles in 27 games. Santoro had several big moments throughout the year, including when he registered his 183rd career hit to become LVC's all-time hits leader against Shenandoah University on February 25. The shortstop also scored his 115th career run to become the program's all-time leader in runs scored during the win against Kenyon College on March 6. Additionally, Santoro drove in a season-high three runs while tying a season-high three hits and scoring a run in the victory at King's College on April 14.

The senior also helped propel LVC to multiple wins in 2024, including when he hit the game-tying and game-winning homers in the club's extra-inning victory at DeSales University on March 22. Stossel was honored for his success at the plate during the campaign, receiving the MAC Freedom Player of the Week award on March 25.
