ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team assured themselves of a home playoff match with a 6-3 Senior Day victory over DeSales University on Wednesday at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
 
LVC (10-8, 4-1 MAC Freedom) defeated the Bulldogs (10-5, 4-2 MAC Freedom) in a battle that decided the home team in next Wednesday's MAC Freedom Semifinal. The Dutchmen won two of the three doubles matches before a short rainstorm forced a delay in play. After the courts dried, LVC won four of the six singles matches including two in three sets to clinch the second seed and home court advantage in the semifinals.
 
Inside the Box

• Jesse Beck and Adam Warren were the first doubles court to finish with an 8-1 victory at number one.
• Jake Erb and Colin Brusse gave the Dutchmen a 2-0 lead with an 8-3 win at number three.
• Michael Schuetz and Ethan Luu battled tough at number two doubles before falling 8-5.
• Warren won his fourth conference three-set match with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 victory at number two singles.
• Erb was also a three-set winner at number three singles with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 victory.
• Schuetz clinched the match victory for the Dutchmen with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number four.
• Brusse won 6-2, 6-4 at number five singles for his 10th win of the year.
• Beck won his first set 6-3 but dropped the next two sets 6-2, 6-2 at number one singles.
• Luu dropped a 6-4, 6-1 decision at number six.
• The Dutchmen won their 23rd consecutive match at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
