MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team played tough in a 7-0 defeat at Division II Millersville University on Monday afternoon at the McComsey Tennis Courts in Millersville.
The host Marauders (10-6) won all three doubles matches to take the doubles point and then won all six singles matches in straight sets. LVC (9-8) battled in all nine matches against the higher division opponents winning games in nearly every match.
Inside the Box
- Jesse Beck and Adam Warren dropped a 6-1 decision at number one doubles.
- Michael Schuetz and Ethan Luu also were defeated by a 6-1 score at number two doubles.
- At number three doubles, Colin Brusse and Jake Erb were dealt a 6-0 defeat.
- Warren had the closest singles match as he sent the second set into a tiebreaker during a 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) defeat at number two.
- Erb scored points in each set of a 6-2, 6-2 defeat at number three singles.
- Schuetz fell 6-2, 6-1 one at number four singles.
- Luu also scored points in each set of a 6-1, 6-1 defeat at number six singles.
- Beck was defeated 6-0, 6-0 at number one singles while Brusse was also defeated by a score of 6-0, 6-0 at number five.

The Dutchmen will be back in action on Wednesday with a big conference matchup against DeSales University on Senior Day at the Shankroff Tennis Center. First serves are scheduled for 4 p.m. against the Bulldogs with Senior Day activities to occur prior.
