HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team split the six singles matches in the final match of the week's trip in Hilton Head as Roanoke College earned a 6-3 victory at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort on Thursday morning.
The Maroons (5-1) edged out three doubles wins as all three matches were tightly played. Roanoke then won the top three singles flights while the Dutchmen earned wins at numbers four, five, and six.
Inside the Box
- Jesse Beck and Adam Warren played a back-and-forth match at number one doubles with the team from Roanoke coming out with an 8-7 victory.
- The other two doubles matches finished with 8-5 scores. Jake Erb and Ethan Luu teamed up at number two while Michael Schuetz and Jared Hostetter played together at number three.
- Schuetz cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at number four singles to improve to 7-2 on the season.
- Luu was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at number six singles to record his second career win.
- Colin Brusse won his number five singles match 7-5, 6-3 to go above .500 on the year with a 5-4 record.
- Beck dropped a close three-setter at number one singles 1-6, 6-3, 10-8.
- Erb also had an incredibly match at number three singles falling by scores of 6-4, 7-5.

The Dutchmen will return to Annville this weekend and will play York College of Pennsylvania next Saturday, March 16, at 12 p.m. on the home courts of Shankroff Tennis Center.
