KINGSTON, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team had a slow start to the spring season but mounted a furious comeback effort that fell just short as the Dutchmen were edged 5-4 by Wilkes University on Sunday afternoon at the TK Tennis Academy in Kingston.
The Colonels won all three doubles matches and then took a 4-0 lead after the first singles match. LVC fought back valiantly winning the next two singles matches to cut the lead to 4-2 going into the last three matches. Wilkes, however, would earn the singles victory they needed to clinch the match before the Dutchmen got wins in the final two matches to set the final score.
