ANNVILLE, Pa.– The Lebanon Valley College Football team lost to Widener University, 24-21, in a Middle Atlantic Conference match-up on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Arnold Field.
Trailing 24-14 with six minutes to play in the fourth quarter, LVC marched down the field on a 10-play, 83-yard touchdown drive.
Logan Klitsch completed three passes on the drive, highlighted by a 38-yard catch by DeShawn Wilson on a tipped ball.
Tanner Lewis capped the drive with a two-yard touchdown run after a pass interference call in the end zone on a Widener defender. LVC pulled to within 24-21 on
Tim Kissinger's extra point, but Widener (4-4, 3-4 MAC) recovered the onside kick attempt to preserve the victory.
Earlier in the game, LVC (3-5, 3-4 MAC) put the first points on the scoreboard when
Braden Bohannon found Wilson for a 38-yard scoring strike. After Widener tied the score at 7-7, the Dutchmen responded by driving 96 yards in eight plays to pull back in front 14-7. That drive featured a mix of nice runs by
Dion Bryant along with a long completion to
Ethan Heisey and another catch by
Malaki Blair.
Malachi Williams scored on a three-yard touchdown run.
Widener pulled even early in the third quarter, taking an LVC fumble 20 yards for a defensive touchdown. With just two minutes left in the stanza, the Pride capitalized on a short field, going 25 yards in two plays for the go-ahead touchdown.
LVC battled back and drove down inside the Widener five yard line before throwing an interception in the end zone on a third-down play at the end of the third quarter. Widener chewed up nearly nine minutes of the fourth quarter on a field goal drive to build the 24-14 lead.

- Six different LVC receivers caught a pass, paced by AJ Vassallo's five receptions (36 total yards). Wilson caught four passes for a team-best 81 yards. Blair added three catches for a season-best 48 yards.
- Bohannon finished 6-of-8 for 105 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game due to injury. Klitsch completed 6-of-11 passes for 107 yards.
- Brody Robinson tallied 10 tackles, tying his season-high, to lead the Dutchmen defense.
