NEWTOWN, Pa. – Senior kicker Tim Kissinger was recognized by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for his contributions to the Lebanon Valley College Football team's win at Alvernia University this past weekend, as the conference office announced in a release on Monday that he was selected as the MAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Kissinger scored 11 of LVC's 23 points with three made field goals and two extra points in a 23-10 victory at Alvernia on Saturday. The kicker was 3-4 on field goal attempts, making a 39-yarder and 30-yarder in the second quarter for the first two scores of the game. He added a 38-yard make in the fourth to set the final score. The senior also had four kickoffs for 207 yards, averaging 51.8 yards with one touchback.
The award is Kissinger's fourth of the season, as he was also named the Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 9, Sept. 16, and Oct. 28 of this year. This is the senior's sixth weekly award of his career after also being recognized twice during the 2023 campaign. The Dutchmen have now been presented with eight weekly honors from the MAC this fall.
Kissinger and Lebanon Valley will be back in action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, as the team will host Albright College in a rivalry matchup for its regular season finale at Arnold Field.
