Alana Antonello scored a goal and recorded an assist during the Lebanon Valley College field hockey team's 4-0 victory over Wilson College on Tuesday night at Arnold Field.
Lebanon Valley (6-3) delivered impressive efforts on both sides of the ball against Wilson (5-3), leading the program to its fourth consecutive win. The Dutchmen received offensive contributions from several players, as five members of the team recorded points and four scored goals. LVC was also dominant defensively, holding the opposition to just four total shots and three shots on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper

The Flying Dutchmen and the Phoenix were productive on the defense end during the first quarter, as both programs kept each other off the scoreboard. Lebanon Valley was aggressive offensively early in the game, taking eight shots during the opening frame. LVC limited Wilson's offensive opportunities during the first 15 minutes, as the squad took just three shots. The programs were tied 0-0 at the conclusion of the first quarter.
This defensive battle continued for nearly 10 minutes into the second quarter, keeping the game scoreless. The Dutchmen opened the scoring 24:50 into the game, taking a 1-0 lead over the Phoenix. First-year

Lebanon Valley didn't waste any time getting the offense going at the start of the second half, extending its advantage to 2-0 just one minute into the third quarter. First-year midfielder
Abby Rodenberger put the squad up by two with a shot that sailed past the goalkeeper, courtesy of an assist by Antonello. The Flying Dutchmen put another tally on the board before the end of the third, making it a 3-0 contest. Coming off a penalty corner, Kline sent a ball towards the goal that deflected off the stick of a Wilson defender before going into the back of the cage.
The Dutchmen were also dominant defensively in the second half, keeping the Phoenix from taking a shot in the last two quarters. LVC continued to create scoring opportunities in the fourth quarter, taking seven shots as it looked to extend to its lead. Lebanon Valley tacked on an insurance point with just eight seconds remaining the game, as Antonello's shot attempt got by the goalkeeper and into the lower-left corner of the cage.
