Men’s Tennis Wins Five of Six Singles Matches to Defeat Drew

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team started off the spring season with a 6-3 victory over Drew University at the Van der Meer Tennis Center in Hilton Head.
 
Drew (1-2) won two of the three doubles matches to begin the day. The Dutchmen (5-0) won five of the six singles matches to earn the win in the spring opener.
 
Inside the Box Score
  • Jeffrey Bauer and Brendan Byler gave the Dutchmen their lone point in doubles with a 8-5 victory at number three.
  • Justin Schuetz won his number one singles match 6-3, 6-4 to improve to 4-0 in dual matches.
  • Adam Warren was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at number two singles.
  • Brady Mclucas earned a 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 win at number four singles.
  • Jesse Beck also won in three sets at number five singles with a 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 victory.
  • Byler improved to 7-0 this year with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win at number six singles.
