NEW YORK, N.Y. – Noah Griffin highlighted a great final day for the Lebanon Valley men's indoor track and field team at the AARTFC Championships with an eighth place finish in the 3000 meters at The Armory in New York City.
Griffin ran a career-best time of 8:37.39 to score one point. The senior ran 33 and 34 second laps for most of the race while staying in between sixth and 10th place. He was ninth going into the final 400 meters before moving up to eighth with 200 to go. His time improves his own school record time of 8:41.94 that he ran at Moravian in January.
Sam Rothstein was not far behind him crossing the line in 8:48.81. He was just a second off his career-best time he ran last weekend.
Alec Di Cesare had a time of 1:57.94 in the 800 meters. He was just off his career-best time from last weekend. The 4x200 meter relay team finished eighth to score one point with a time of 1:31.32.
Owen Linder,
Daniel Murtha,
Kadan Smith, and
Zach Reed ran the fourth-fastest time in program history while winning the fifth of seven heats.
Trey Reynolds had a mark of 15.92 meters (52'2.75") on his first attempt to finish 16th in the weight throw.
The indoor season is now over for the Dutchmen. The first outdoor meet will be at the end of the month.
