LANCASTER, Pa. – Jake Bollinger started the season strong with three goals for the Lebanon Valley men's lacrosse team in the first game of the year at Franklin & Marshall College. The host Diplomats used strong second and third quarters to defeat the Dutchmen 18-6.
The Diplomats, who are receiving votes in the national poll, scored the first two goals of the game before Bollinger got LVC on the board with a man-up goal. Bollinger traded goals with Christian Sullivan of Franklin & Marshall through the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second until the Diplomats took a 4-2 lead with 12 minutes to go in the half. The hosts scored 11 of the next 12 goals to take a 15-3 lead. LVC responded with three straight goals by

- Bollinger scored the first three goals of the year for the Dutchmen with all three coming in the first half. He led the Dutchmen with eight shots including five on goal.
- Frey and Kiviniemi each had a goal and an assist. Kiviniemi added three caused turnovers for the Dutchmen.
- Trey Ralston dished out two assists.
- Gavin Porter picked up three ground balls and won seven faceoffs.
- Kellen Markley got the start in goal and made 14 saves in 56:27 minutes of action.

Lebanon Valley will host Moravian University on Wednesday on Arnold Field in the home opener. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. against the Greyhounds.
