READING, Pa. – Nine different Lebanon Valley men's ice hockey skaters recorded at least one point on Friday night as the Dutchmen were dealt another heart-breaking overtime defeat by a score of 6-5 at Alvernia University in the first-ever meeting between the programs.
The host Golden Wolves scored twice in the first four minutes to take an early 2-0 lead. LVC struck right back with goals from
Mark Kishko at 11:08 and
Dylan Miller at 13:27 of the period to even things up.
Matt Kassab assisted on the Kishko goal while
Harris Blackwood assisted on Miller's tally. Alvernia would score to take a 3-2 advantage into the second period. The Dutchmen needed just 30 seconds at the beginning of the second period before
Blake Tosto tied things up off assists from
Brenden Yingling and
Haralds Jirgens.
Alvernia responded with two goals in a span of 45 seconds to go up 5-3.
Tanner Tolliver cut the deficit in half with a goal at 15:27 off assists from Kishko and
Jackson Legro. Blackwood then tied the game up with an unassisted goal at 15:42 of the third period to send the game into overtime. The Golden Wolves scored two minutes into the extra session with a power play goal to earn the victory.

- Blackwood and Kishko had a goal and an assist apiece to record multi-point games for the Dutchmen.
- Tosto scored his team-leading sixth goal while taking nine shots and winning 14 faceoffs.
- Gabriel Pigeon made 19 saves on shots in relief of Cole Bradley who made 11 saves.
- The Dutchmen played their seventh overtime game of the season.

LVC will close out the season tomorrow night against Alvernia at Hersheypark Arena. Prior to the 7 p.m. puck drop the team will honor their five seniors.
