HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey team took a big step towards clinching a berth in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Tournament with a 4-0 victory over Arcadia University on Friday evening at Hersheypark Arena.
 
The Dutchmen (9-12-1, 6-10-1 UCHC) also earned a big three points in the Middle Atlantic Conference standings with the win over the Knights (11-9-2, 7-8-2 UCHC). 
Katrina Strauts put the Dutchmen up just 1:53 into the game when she deflected a shot from 
Sloane Herrera into the back of the net. 
Katie Pounder was also given an assist on the goal. The Dutchmen kept the pressure on the Knights and doubled their lead at 16:00 when 
Ioanna Christou picked up a loose puck and sent it up ice to 
Cheyenne Wilk for a breakaway goal.
 
Erin Yorke gave LVC a 3-0 advantage just 44 seconds in the second period with a strike from just inside the blue line. 
Jade Julius and Wilk were credited with assists on the play. The strong play continued with 
Victoria Scurto knocking in a puck right in front of the net at 6:00. Strauts and Pounder earned assists on the goal. The Knights pressed for a goal in the third period outshooting the Dutchmen 21-6, but 
Shelby Guinard was fantastic in goal denying every shot.  
 
Inside the Box Score
	- The Dutchmen scored four goals for the sixth time this season.
- Strauts had two points on a goal and an assist to give her 18 points this year.
- Wilk also had a goal and an assist to give her eight points on the year.
- Pounder had two assists and won nine faceoffs.
- Christou recorded her sixth assist of the year while Yorke scored her first goal of the season.
- Tiffany Anderson won a team-high 10 faceoffs.
- Guinard made 37 saves including 21 in the last period to earn her second shutout of the season.
