Wilkes opened the scoring 12:26 into the game, taking a 1-0 lead on a power play goal by Haylee Bouchard. The Colonels resumed the scoring 7:08 into the second frame, extending their advantage to 2-0 on a short-handed goal by Abigail Barcless. Wilkes added another point 37 seconds later, advancing the score to 3-0 on a goal by Jordan Ferry.

The Dutchmen continued to compete during the remaining minutes of the period, as the team blocked five shots during this stretch. LVC also created offensive opportunities as the period went on, as Dale registered a shot on goal at the 15:57 mark and Debelis took a pair of shots in the 17th minute.

Defense was the story for the majority of the third period, as the score was maintained until less than two minutes remained. Fisher limited the opposition during the frame by saving 10 shots. Lebanon Valley continued to battle offensively in the final period, taking nine shots on goal during the last 20 minutes. Dale contributed to these attempts, sending three shots toward the net.
