ANNVILLE, Pa. – Evin Timochenko posted a double-double for the Lebanon Valley men's basketball team on Wednesday night, recording 16 points with 10 rebounds as the program dropped a hard-fought 81-70 game at Sorrentino Gymnasium.
Lebanon Valley (0-7) battled valiantly against Albright (3-2), delivering strong efforts on both sides of the court until the final minute. The Dutchmen received offensive contributions from several members of the team, as three players logged double-digit point totals. The squad also registered a total of 10 steals defensively.
Albright got its offense going early in the first half, taking a 10-5 lead 2:08 into the game. The Dutchmen promptly responded with a three-pointer by
Evan Smith, making it a two-point game just 16 seconds later. The Lions later followed this with a 13-6 run, advancing the score to 23-14 with 10:50 remaining. During this stretch

Wil Laskowski and Tyle Tang each scored a pair of points for Lebanon Valley. The programs then exchanged baskets until Albright led 31-19.
The Dutchmen responded with an 8-2 run to trim their deficit to 33-27 with 3:18 to go. The squad put eight points on the board within a span of just 1:52, courtesy of six points by
Evin Timochenko and a pair of free throws by Braden Bohnannon. Lebanon Valley continued to battle through the remainder of the half, scoring six more points on a jumper by Timochenko and a pair of successful free throws by both Garcia and Harder. The game entered halftime with the Lions leading 39-33.
Lebanon Valley and Albright went back and forth during the first 2:44 of the second half, as the teams swapped baskets until the Lions led 46-37. The Dutchmen responded with three points on a turnaround jumper by Timochenko and a free throw by Tang, narrowing their deficit to 46-40 with 16:36 to play. Albright followed this with a 16-8 stretch, advancing the score to 62-48 with 10:32 left.
The Dutchmen kept battling as the half progressed, making it a 70-56 contest with 5:27 remaining. The program scored eight points during this stretch on a pull-up jumper by Timochenko and six points by Harder. Lebanon Valley generated offensive opportunities until the end of the game, as Laskowski made a three-pointer with just 24 seconds to go. Ultimately, Albright closed out the contest by a score of 81-70.
