ANNVILLE, Pa. – The regular season has come to a close as three of our teams claimed some final spots in their playoff races. This recap covers the first round of playoffs for Rocket League, Rainbow Six, and Overwatch.     

Rocket League— The Rocket League team gained a first round bye in the NACE playoffs and is set to face Purdue University Northwest after the Thanksgiving break on November 27.   

Rainbow Six— Following a solid season in both NACE and NECC play, Rainbow Six started the week on Monday matching up with ninth-ranked Kennesaw State. The Owls needed little time to get going as they cruised to a 7-0, 7-0 victory over LVC. The defeat sent LVC out of the NACE Varsity Playoffs, leaving the team to just NECC Cyan playoffs. On Tuesday, they would played their quarterfinal match against the University of Windsor. The Dutchmen bounced back in a big way as they earned a quick 7-4, 7-2 victory to put them into the semifinals. They will face the winner of Illinois and GCU match on November 28.            

Overwatch— After sneaking into the playoffs last week, Overwatch took on Lander University in the NECC Emergents Mideast Quarterfinals. The Bearcats came into the match with a perfect record and did not even lose a map all season. While LVC managed to put up a fight and even gave Lander their first map loss of the season, it was not enough as they dropped the series 3-1. This ends the fall season for Overwatch leaving it down to Rocket League and Rainbow Six in playoffs.
